Lisa's Approach to Mindfulness
The teaching offered in The Mindfulness Habit is grounded in the science of psychology and presented in a way that is applicable to everyday working life. I draw on my own very real and relatable experiences of managing a stressful and demanding career - and I incorporate what I have learned from those I have mentored and trained over many years.
The Mindfulness Habit is a friendly guide rather than a set of instructions, the teaching is invitational and recognises that you are the expert in your experience. You will find the information is delivered in an accessible way, and the exercises and practices can be incorporated into daily life with ease.

Lisa's Story
Lisa's Story
Years ago, I found myself caught in a relentless tide of stress, exhaustion and anxiety. The ever-accelerating pace and demands of work and responsibility entirely overshadowed the simplicity of being present in my own life. I felt a relentless and intense pressure. The inevitable uncertainties and difficult relationships at work had way more impact on me than they should have - tiredness and constant stress created a vulnerability that made it hard to gain perspective. I carried on, expecting to draw on resources that had long been exhausted and repeating a routine that failed to support my greatest asset - my health.
It was during this tumultuous period that I discovered the transformative practice of mindfulness, and in the years that followed I learned and developed the skills and techniques that I share in The Mindfulness Habit. My personal mindfulness practice has improved my mental health immeasurably - and it continues to support my ability to perform in my career.
This is a story of hope and empowerment, of a shared struggle and a skill that holds the incredible potential for change, a skill that is worth learning and practising as if life depended upon it - which in many ways it does.
